Two Great D/s Reads

Hey everyone!

It’s been awhile since my last post, but I had to share two books I recently had the pleasure of reading: On His Knees and Matchstick Men. They’re part of (what I hope will be a long running) series.

In the past I’ve written about being a submissive, and what that means to me personally. I’ve also written about how I view myself, how I view my needs, how I view my service, and how I can sometimes be slightly less than thrilled with the way submissives are frequently portrayed in M/M fiction.

Submissives are real people, with real needs and desires. And, in my experience, we are healthy, happy, strong, well-adjusted individuals. Yet most of the submissives I read don’t come across as such. I don’t particularly want to delve into a deep discussion about why we tend to be portrayed the way we are, that’s really not the point of this post.

What is the point are two great reads by Adira August I wanted to share with you. In my truly humble opinion, this author gets it (submissives) right…and it’s a pure joy to read.

On His Knees is a short introduction (a novelette of 63 pages) to the two main characters, and it’s available via Instafreebie until August 1st, 2017.

Matchstick Men picks up where On His Knees leaves off, and continues on with the main characters’ stories – while incorporating an intriguing murder mystery.

Both are incredibly entertaining D/s reads which also incorporate accurate, positive, realistic portrayals (flaws and all) of submissives – again, in my humble opinion.

If they end up in your library, I truly hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Peace,
JLT
